Tolland is located in Tolland County, Connecticut. It was first settled before 1715 and incorporated in 1722. Today Interstate 84, the main highway connecting New York City, Hartford and Boston, bisects Tolland. Tolland Green is the informal center of the community and a national historic district. Tolland is an affluent town and in 2015 ranked 34th in CNN/Money Magazine's Best Places to Live in America.
