East Hampton is located in Middlesex County and comprises the villages of Cobalt, Middle Haddam and Lake Pocotopaug. In the nineteenth century, East Hampton became a major manufacturer of bells. During the 1800s thirty firms were said to run shops or small factories producing bell and bell-related products.
