Clinton traces its history from 1663 when the land between Guilford and Saybrook, as they were then bounded, was known as Homonoscitt. The town of Clinton was officially established in 1735. Its pristine beaches and New England small town feel draws thousands of vacationers every summer.
Today, Clinton is a thriving community of 13,500 people supporting a wide range of business. The Clinton Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to providing support for all businesses in Clinton. From the Chamber’s Summer Concert Series to the Annual Liberty Bank 5k Bluefish Race there is something for everyone in Clinton.
