About Events Magazines
Events Magazines was established in 1996 by Essex Printing with the publication of Essex Events. It was a simple town newsletter that was mailed to every house and post office box in the town of Essex. Over the last 18 years Events has expanded to reach 217,000 residents along the Connecticut River Valley and Shoreline. The magazines are published quarterly in the towns of Branford, Chester, Clinton, East Haddam, East Lyme, Essex, Guilford, Haddam, Madison, Montville, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Westbrook and Woodbridge. They contain substantial and relevant information from the town halls and local service groups regarding upcoming town events and important information from town departments and non-profit organizations. There are no subscriptions, no reporters, no letters to the editor and no editorials. The magazines are mailed to every house and post office box in the respective towns. They have become a must-read for resident and visitor alike.
A clear difference between Events Magazines and other advertising mediums is simple. We are TOWN HALL magazines. Each magazine is dedicated to each town. The articles are written by Town Hall employees and others in various departments and organizations.
