Events Magazines is expanding again!!

Events Magazines was started 12 years ago by Essex Printing with the publication of Essex Events. It was a simple town newsletter that was mailed to every house and post office box in the town of Essex. A few years later, David Winstead, the owner of Essex Printing, purchased a new 4-color press. Wanting to highlight the new full color capabilities of Essex Printing, Essex Events came out with a glossy full color cover. It was a huge hit! Other towns were quickly added. Over the last 13 years Events has expanded to reach 83,000 residents along the Connecticut River Valley and Shoreline. The magazines are published quarterly in the towns of Essex, Old Saybrook, Chester, Westbrook, Madison, Clinton, Old Lyme, Haddam and East Haddam. They contain substantial and relevant information from the town halls and local service groups regarding upcoming town events and important information from town departments and non-profit organizations. There are no subscriptions, no reporters, no letters to the editor, or no editorials. The magazines are mailed to every house and post office box in the respective towns at no cost to any town. All costs are absorbed by Events Magazines. They have become a must-read for resident and visitor alike.
A clear difference between Events Magazines and other advertising mediums is simple. We are TOWN HALL magazines. Each magazine is dedicated to each town. The articles are written by Town Hall employees and others in various departments and organizations. There is no reporter spinning the tone of the article to suit the reporter's needs. You read the article as it is written, with the message in a simple straightforward style.
